Jigsaws are designed to make a variety of cuts from straight crosscuts through to intricate curved and scrolling lines. With the right blades fitted it can cut through a wide variety of materials from wood, plastics and sheet metal, even ceramic tiles. Most jigsaw tools have quick blade change systems to keep downtime to a minimum. Models with variable speed settings offer more control when cutting, operating at faster speeds on materials like wood and slower speeds on materials that heat up quickly such as metal.
